About

I am a writer, poet, and storyteller devoted to exploring how language can heal, steady, and remind us of who we are—especially in moments of uncertainty.

My work lives at the intersection of creative writing, metaphysical inquiry, and everyday resilience. Through poetry, storytelling, essays, and spoken word, I translate spiritual and philosophical ideas into language that is grounded, accessible, and human. I am interested less in abstraction, and more in what we can live with: words that support the nervous system, invite curiosity, and help us move through life with greater compassion and presence.

“Ms. Sloan’s first book of poetry is very refreshing.
It’s raw imagery mixed with an extremely subtle complexity weaves clear glimpses of an emerging generation.”

– Steven J. speaking on ‘No Poem Left Behind’

I believe writing, in all its forms, has the ability to heal and uplift the human spirit. Sharing our stories—honestly and without pretense—is one of the ways we build a more humane and connected world.

Alongside my creative work, I write professionally in health, wellness, and lifestyle spaces, bringing clarity, warmth, and depth to complex subjects. Whether I am crafting an essay, a poem, a children’s story, or educational content, my intention remains the same: to create work that is thoughtful, embodied, and rooted in care.

I am also deeply interested in writing as a living practice. I regularly facilitate workshops and generative writing spaces that encourage participants to listen inward, write from presence, and reconnect with their own creative voice. These offerings are not about performance or perfection, but about resilience, self-trust, and meaningful expression.

My creative catalog includes poetry collections, children’s books, and interdisciplinary projects that blend language with visual art and sound. Across all forms, my work is guided by curiosity, sincerity, and a respect for the inner lives of both adults and children.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: words matter. When used with intention, they can soften fear, strengthen connection, and help us love our way through life’s uncertainties.

If you are here as a reader, collaborator, client, or fellow writer—welcome. I’m glad our paths have crossed.
